Some of my favorite people!!!

Isn't this just precious?

They are both so excited to see the different exhibits at the Aquarium, but they are equally excited just to be with each other! Oh how Mollye loves her Papa!!!

The Next Van Gogh

So yes, I am a teacher. I say this because we took Mollye to the Aquarium on Tuesday, and on Wednesday I was doing a "follow up" art activity with her. Just look at this amazing finger painting:

Now as if that is not amazing enough; let me break it down for you. You see we were trying to recreate the "butterfly garden." First we started with a tree (I admit I did the trunk, but that was all I did). Mollye then added the sky. Next came what she called red flowers. After that I being the teacher had purchased some butterfly stickers to add to her painting. She LOVED this part!!! She strategically placed them were she found fit. I think you will agree that she is a fabulous artist!!!

Now take a closer look (Remember look for the tree, sky, and flowers):

Thoughtful

That's what Ma and Pa were this Easter season!

We were leaving for church Sunday morning when they pulled in the drive way. They were sweet enough to bring Mollye a bag full of goodies!!! She loved going through the bag on the way to church. One particular toy (ok bath sponge) caught her eye. The whole way to church she was yelling- MONKEY! Momma, MONKEY!!! I simply just kept replying yes, that's a monkey. It wasn't until we were home that night that I took a closer look at that monkey. He's not just any monkey; he's a MOLLY MONKEY!!!

Meet Mollye Monkey:

Here is the tag just to prove the thoughtfulness behind this gift:

The tag reads:

I'm Molly Monkey and I'll give you bubbles.
I'll wash away all of your troubles.

I'm pretty sure Mollye is free of any troubles. Check out this girl loving her gift!!!

She even wanted to give her monkey a bath:

Thanks, Ma and Pa! You were very thoughtful. Oh, Mollye would like to add that she also LOVED the candy!!!

Easter Photo Shoot

Last year before church Mollye and I went to the Templeton garden to take pictures with the blooming flowers. I thought this year we would do the same thing. We were able to capture a few really good shots. I am particularly found of the "rock" shots. After Mollye sat on the first rock, she proceeded to point out all the rocks and sit on each one!!! If you have been there, you know that is a lot of rocks. Adam and I were sure we were going to be late to church because of "rocks." Luckily she decided to go "fast" back to the car. Translation: she ran as "fast" as she could!

Easter

"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die."-- John 11:25-26

What a joyous holiday! I have always loved Easter, and watching Mollye celebrate today made it even more special. She is an awesome egg hunter (despite what Adam might say). She is the only child I know that asked for permission to take things out of her Easter basket (yes, she was not sure what to think of all the new toys in her basket).

She is my life because someone more powerful, more special, more deserving than I thought I deserved to be the Mommy to this sweet little girl. I'm glad to believe and celebrate the real reason for this holiday.

Thank you for being the resurrection and the life.

Enjoy a look at our Easter holiday season (more in depth and details this week):

The Easter bunny came!! Look at all those prints he left:
